At City of Hume Boxing Club we pride ourselves on providing tailored services to suit each individual or group and endeavour to leave a positive, long lasting impression. Please read on for some kind words.

The Moving FWD Program began booking sessions with the City of Hume Boxing Club (CHBC) in 2013, the success of which has been fantastic. The benefits of working CHBC are immediate and enduring; the group learns to work together with a structures session, utilise self-discipline, control and focus to encourage both mental and physical confidence, positive role models inspire goal setting and allow these highly complex participants to work together through their anger management/behavioural issues in a supervised & safe environment.

From a humble taster session, several previous Moving FWD participants have gone on to work out regularly with CHBC with excellent results. For these young people, recreational drug use & street fighting has ceased, they follow healthy diet plans; have improved mental health and a drive to succeed in life. The overriding aim of Moving FWD is for the participants to start to recognise their own potential, gain momentum and motivation. Our strong connection with the City of Hume Boxing Club is key in helping us to successfully deliver that objective.

As a community centre with programs for local youth, it has been wonderful to work with the team at the City of Hume Boxing Club. We have had youth boxing programs delivered at our centre and have been on excursions to the boxing gym, with regular members coaching our own participants. Brad and Casey have been outstanding tole models for our younger people, always embedding a culture of respect, accountability and peer support into their practice. At the end of each session, our staff and young people have left feeling uplifted and more confident.

We hope to work with the City of Hume Boxing Club in future to collaborate on our shared goals for supporting local young people to develop confidence, well-being, discipline and achieve their potential. Thank-You for your support of our youth programs Brad and Casey!
